Paragliding San Francisco
Due to its unique geography and climate, San Francisco has grown into one of the most popular paragliding locations in the country. There are 20 plus flying sites within a couple of hours drive of SF. Mussel Rock Park, which is located just south of San Francisco, is one of the most beautiful flying sites in the country. For those looking to try paragliding for the first time, scheduling a tandem flight with one of the local schools is a great option. Tandem flights run around 200 dollars and are a low risk, low commitment way to try out the sport.
Most of the flying sites near SF require the wind to blowing at least partially from the west, which means the main flying season in San Francisco begins around the middle of March and runs through around the middle of October. Below are links to the main flying sites which are west facing.

Located about 20 minutes south of San Francisco, Mussel Rock Park is one of the most beautiful and consistent flying location in the country. Pilots visit from all over the world to fly here.
